Indications:

Amikacin 500mg Injection is indicated for the treatment of serious infections caused by susceptible bacteria, including:

• Respiratory tract infections

• Urinary tract infections

• Intra-abdominal infections

• Bone and joint infections

• Meningitis and septicemia

• Skin and soft tissue infections

• Post-surgical infections

Dosage & Administration:

• Adults: 15 mg/kg/day divided into 2–3 equal doses.

• Children: 15–20 mg/kg/day in 2–3 divided doses.

• Neonates: Initial dose 10 mg/kg followed by 7.5 mg/kg every 12 hours.

• Dosage should be adjusted based on renal function and severity of infection.

• Administer via intramuscular (IM) or intravenous (IV) route only under medical supervision.

• Reconstitute the dry powder with sterile water for injection before use.
