Esomeprazole 40mg Injection is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) that reduces gastric acid secretion in the stomach. It is widely used in the treatment of acid-related gastrointestinal disorders such as gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), Zollinger–Ellison syndrome, and peptic ulcers.

The injection form is ideal for patients unable to take oral medication or requiring rapid acid suppression.

Indications:

Esomeprazole 40mg Injection is indicated for the treatment of:

• Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD)

• Peptic ulcer disease

• Erosive esophagitis

• Zollinger–Ellison syndrome

• Stress ulcer prophylaxis in critically ill patients

• Conditions requiring acid suppression when oral therapy is not feasible

Dosage & Administration:

• Adults: The recommended dose is 40mg once daily, administered intravenously (IV).

• The injection should be reconstituted with Sterile Water for Injection (WFI) before use.

• Administer as a slow IV injection over 3 minutes or as an infusion over 10–30 minutes.

• The dose and duration should be based on the patient’s condition and medical advice.

• To be administered under the supervision of a qualified healthcare professional.
