Product Description:

Meropenem 1gm + Sodium Chloride Dry Powder Injection is a broad-spectrum antibiotic belonging to the carbapenem class. It is effective against a wide range of Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, including strains resistant to multiple antibiotics. The addition of Sodium Chloride ensures isotonicity and improves the safety and stability of the formulation.

This injection is used for the treatment of severe, life-threatening infections where other antibiotics have failed. Each sterile vial contains 1g of Meropenem equivalent to anhydrous Meropenem, along with Sodium Chloride.

Indications:

Meropenem + Sodium Chloride Injection is indicated for the treatment of:

• Severe lower respiratory tract infections (including hospital-acquired pneumonia)

• Urinary tract infections (UTIs)

• Intra-abdominal infections

• Skin and soft tissue infections

• Gynecological infections

• Bacterial septicemia

• Central nervous system infections (including meningitis)

• Complicated infections caused by resistant bacteria

Dosage & Administration:

• Adults: The recommended dose is 500mg to 1g every 8 hours, depending on the type and severity of the infection.

• Children (≥3 months): 10–20mg/kg body weight every 8 hours, or as prescribed by the physician.

• Route: Administer by intravenous (IV) injection or infusion.

• Reconstitute the powder with the supplied Sodium Chloride injection or sterile water for injection before use.

• Dosage adjustment may be required in patients with renal impairment.

• Always use under the supervision of a qualified healthcare professional.

Storage:

• Store below 25°C, in a cool and dry place.

• Protect from direct sunlight and moisture.

• Keep out of reach of children.

• Use immediately after reconstitution.
