Meropenem eq. to Anhydrous Meropenem 125mg Dry Powder Injection is a broad-spectrum antibiotic belonging to the carbapenem class. It is used for the treatment of severe and complicated bacterial infections caused by multidrug-resistant organisms.
Meropenem acts by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis, making it highly effective against both Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, including anaerobic strains. Each vial contains 125mg of Anhydrous Meropenem for parenteral use.

Indications:
Meropenem Injection is indicated for the treatment of:

Lower respiratory tract infections (including pneumonia)

Urinary tract infections (UTIs)

Intra-abdominal infections

Skin and soft tissue infections

Gynecological infections

Bacterial septicemia

Meningitis and other severe infections caused by resistant bacteria
Dosage & Administration:

Adults: The usual dose is 500mg to 1g every 8 hours, depending on the type and severity of infection.

Children (≥3 months): 10–20mg/kg body weight every 8 hours, or as prescribed by the physician.

Route: Administer via intravenous (IV) injection or infusion only.

Reconstitute the powder with sterile water for injection prior to administration.

Dosage adjustment may be required in patients with renal impairment.
