Indications:

Sterile Artesunate 60mg Injection is indicated for:

• Severe malaria caused by Plasmodium falciparum

• Cerebral malaria

• Malaria with multi-organ involvement

• Cases where oral antimalarial therapy is not feasible

Dosage & Administration:

• The recommended adult and pediatric dose is 2.4 mg/kg body weight, administered by intravenous (IV) or intramuscular (IM) injection.

• The first dose should be followed by additional doses at 12 hours and 24 hours, then once daily until oral therapy can be tolerated.

• Reconstitute the powder with the supplied sterile diluent or water for injection before use.

• The reconstituted solution should be used immediately after preparation.

• Administration should always be performed under medical supervision.

Storage:

• Store below 25°C, in a cool and dry place.

• Protect from light and moisture.

• Keep out of reach of children.

• Use immediately after reconstitution.
